The before photo on the left shows the Fagan home as it looked when we first began discussing landscape plans for their front yard. The client wanted to replace the old asphalt driveway with a either a concrete paver or pressed-concrete pattern driveway. They had no plantings, just weeds, in front of the right side of the front porch and old, overgrown, over-pruned yews in front of the left side of the front porch. Our landscape crew removed the old shrubs and cleaned out all of the weeds. We had a nice clean pallet to work with!
The client decided on a pressed-concrete pattern driveway. We selected a grey concrete color to complement the roof color and to provide some variety to the orange-red brick color. What a difference this made!
We added shrubs, perennials and groundcover along the porch foundation and in a new bed at the corner of the driveway and parkway sidewalk. The yard is now neat and loaded with colorful flowers and foliage.
